After I returned from Okinawa in 1960 and began teaching Isshinryu Karate in Atlanta, there were no martial art publications in English to be found. Of course, everybody and his sister has written one now. Karate-do Kyohan was one of the first to appear (1972).

I was gratified to read: "True Karate-do places weight upon spiritual rather than physical matters." That is the way I had been practicing all along -- in the energetic realm rather than the meat realm.
