In a way, it's worse than that. We actually prefer nuclear weapons and fear nuclear powerplants. Instead of having clean air and fairly clean energy with wastes that can be buried in Yucca Flats, we have dirty air, global warming, ocean acidification, and a $10 billion hole in the ground at Yucca Flats that will never be used to dispose of nuclear wastes at various sites around the country. We are not a very intelligent species for the most part. Clever maybe, but not too bright at this time. Madness doesn't begin to capture what we are doing at the global scale.
And it all happened on our watch - - so sorry grandchildren ......
